This detail of hieroglyphs is from the entrance to the rock tomb replica, one of the museum's most popular teaching venues. The replica is modeled on elements from several originals in the Beni Hasan desert in Upper Egypt.

Farewell to Shirley Cunningham, dedicated volunteer!

The Rosicrucian Egyptian Museum bids a fond farewell to our dedicated volunteer Shirley Cunningham. Not only did she re-organise the museum library, but she and her husband David sponsored the restoration of our prized baboon mummy.

Shirley, originally from Ireland, is moving back to England with her family.
