The Ancient Egyptian Epagomenal Festival is here!
August 1 - August 3, 2008

In ancient Egypt five days were set aside at the end of each year to celebrate the birthdays of the famed deities Isis, Nephthys, Osiris, Set and Horus. Join us for our own festival honoring their traditions. Events will include special talks on the five celebrated deities, tours of our Tomb, Peace Garden and Rosicrucian Park, Opening of the Mouth ceremony re-enactments, perfume making, henna, as well as games and activities for children and the whole family. Activities are free with museum admission.
Rosicrucian Park is a magical, mystical attraction for adventurers all ages and interests. Explore the Egyptian Museum and its magnificent architecture, which houses the largest collection of ancient Egyptian artifacts in western North America. Tour a tomb if you dare. Follow celestial phenomena through the ages from the historical Planetarium. To relax, you can browse ancient texts in the Rosicrucian Library, visit the gift shop, or wander through the roses, statuary, sparkling fountains, and the 18th Dynasty Peace Garden. Packed with attractions, interests and intrigue, Rosicrucian Park is no ordinary way to spend a day!
