Queen Ahmose-Nefertari was regarded as the founder of the 18th Dynasty, and deified after her death. Her son, Ahnes-sa-pa-iry, who died before he could become king, is shown here with her. It is possible that the famous queens of the 18th dynasty, Tiyi and Nefertiti, among others, may have been her decendants. This votive piece was created to honor her centuries after her death.
