Description:
The black and blue ball is hollow and was an offering to the goddess Hathor. Quite a few of these balls have been found near her main temple, some of them still strung according to descending size. The small blue faience ball is a model food offering from the Middle Kingdom, to represent a portion of a meal for all eternity. The marble may well be just that, a game piece, dating from the Roman Period.
